Today, discover the treasures of the city formerly known as Ciudad de los Reyes, founded by Pizarro on Epiphany in 1535. Former capital of the vice-royalty of Pérou, Lima stands out for its exceptional colonial architecture, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1991. You will discover the historic center, a place marked by numerous key events in Peruvian history.

Your driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to Lima airport.

We depart early in the morning for Chivay, enjoying magnificent views of the cordillera's volcanoes along the way. We will cross the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where we can observe herds of vicuñas. Once we arrive at the village, nestled in the heart of lush terraces over 1,500 years old, we will have lunch, then check in at the hotel.

In the afternoon, if you wish, we will set out for a short walk in the surrounding countryside.

Early in the morning, we will first reach the Condor's Cross, an excellent observation point over the Colca Canyon, where we may have the chance to admire the majestic flight of condors, lords of the Peruvian sky.

Next, we will walk along the canyon to visit the villages of Pinchollo and Maca.

We will continue to the village of Canocota, where our host family awaits us for the meal.

In the afternoon, we will set out on a walk through the countryside with our host, who will introduce us to his traditions and culture.

In the evening, after sharing the meal, we will learn more about the local culture through the stories and legends told by our host.

After breakfast, it will already be time to say goodbye to our warm host. We will then start a walk of approximately 2h30 along the canyon until the village of Chivay (option to verify if the walk is not desired).

Once arrived, we will have lunch before taking the bus again towards our next destination.

We will travel by bus from Chivay to Puno, with several stops along the way to admire the magnificent landscapes of the high plateaus.

Today, you experience total immersion within a local family.

Your host will pick you up at Puno to accompany you to the city port. You will then board a boat heading to Llachon, on the Capachica peninsula.

Along the way, if you wish, a stop can be made at the Uros Titinos islands to discover the daily life of the inhabitants of this unique place.

Upon arrival, you will have lunch with your host family, then the afternoon will be devoted to accompanying them in their activities, which vary depending on the season or weather. This could include fieldwork, hikes on the peninsula, discovery of local plants, stone cutting, and many other activities.

In the evening, you will share dinner with your hosts before spending the night at their home.

Today, you will go fishing with your host, a traditional activity of the region. You will discover its importance in the daily life of the inhabitants of Llachon and the lake.

Back on the peninsula, you will deepen your discovery of local customs and traditions.

Lunch will be shared with your host family, then you will resume your journey to Puno in the afternoon, with arrival expected in mid-afternoon.

Today, a driver will take you from Puno to Raqchi.

Along the way, several stops are planned to enjoy the wonders of the famous "Route of the Sun".

You will be able to visit the Tinajani geological site, a magnificent forest of Puyas Raimondi, as well as the Wari archaeological site of Kananmarca.

Arrival at Raqchi is planned at the end of the day.

This morning, we will start with a visit to the Raqchi archaeological complex.

We will then continue our journey towards the Palcoyo rainbow mountain range, located at nearly 5000 meters above sea level, the starting point of our adventure for the day.

Once there, we will admire the colorful and unique landscapes of the region before beginning a hike leading to the first explanation point, where we will discover the secrets of this majestic place and the causes of its brilliant hues.

Finally, we will return to the mountain range parking lot to meet our driver and continue on our way.

Today, we will pick you up at your hotel to take the road to Tambomachay, located in the heights of the former capital of the Inca empire.

After visiting this site, we will begin, accompanied by our trekking team, a long progressive climb of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to the Queullacocha pass. Upon reaching the summit, we will have our midday meal while admiring a magnificent panorama of the city of Cusco and its surroundings.

Reinvigorated, we will resume our walk for approximately 4 hours of additional effort, crossing high plateaus and lagoons, until we reach the Patabamba community.

Upon our arrival, our friend Rosalio and his family will have prepared a "pachamanca", a traditional meal of the region. The evening will be marked by sharing, with a night at a local home.

After a good breakfast, we will leave Rosalio's family and begin our day's itinerary by heading towards the balcony of La Vallée Sacrée. From there, we will overlook a large part of the valley, with an unobstructed view of the villages of Pisac, Calca and Lamay, as well as the peaks of Pitusiray, Sawasiray and the imposing Veronica.

We will then continue with the second difficulty of our trek: the crossing of the Pukamarka pass, which we will reach mid-day. After crossing this pass, we will descend to the entrance of the Leon Punku canyon, where we will have our midday meal.

After a well-deserved break, we will cross this magnificent canyon by taking a section of the old Camino Inca, which we will follow until the Huchuy Qosqo ruins.

We will spend the end of the afternoon exploring the "Little Cusco" in Quechua, before joining Natividad and her family for a second night with a local family.

Final day of effort today, with a morning dedicated to crossing the Tauca pass, which peaks at 4,435 m altitude. It will take us approximately 4 hours from Huchuy Qosqo to reach the highest point of our three-day adventure. Once at the summit, you will be able to admire exceptional views over the entire Urubamba Urubamba mountain range. A sight that justifies all the effort made!

After a long break at the summit, we will begin a 3-hour descent to Piuray lake, and then continue to the village of Chinchero.

This morning, we will pick you up at your accommodation to head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We will begin our visit by going to the village of Chinchero, where we will attend an in-depth demonstration in a textile workshop. We will discover the ancestral weaving and dyeing techniques that have persisted since the time of Inca culture.

After lunch, we will continue our exploration of the sacred valley by going to the agronomic laboratory of Moray, which you will discover with your guide.

After meeting up with our driver, we will finish our day at Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the Incan ruins of the village.

Return to Cusco at the end of the day

We had the opportunity to stop in Ollantaytambo village to continue your journey to Machu Picchu.

Today, you will travel to Huahyopata, located on the Amazon road leading to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, Julia and her family will welcome you warmly. You will have free time to settle into your rooms before sharing lunch.

In the afternoon, accompanied by Julia or her husband, you will explore their coffee and citrus plantations. You will discover the entire Peruvian coffee production process, from plant to cup, and will have the opportunity to prepare your own coffee for tasting.

In the evening, you will share dinner with your host family and spend the night on site.

This morning, you will start the day with a typical breakfast before returning to the fields of your host family. After discovering coffee yesterday, today you will explore Peruvian cacao. The basis of our beloved chocolate, cacao and its production process are often misunderstood. This half-day promises to be rich in learning and discovery!

At midday, we will continue our journey towards our next stop: Hidroelectrica.

From Hidroelectrica, you will begin a hike of approximately 3h30 to 4h until Aguas Calientes, the last village before the famous Machu Picchu.

Be attentive during this walk: at times, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the ancient Inca citadel, majestically perched at the top of the mountain.

You will need to reach the main avenue of Aguas Calientes to take a shuttle that will take you to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

Machu Picchu stands at 2,430 m altitude in the heart of the tropical forest, in an exceptional setting. This site undoubtedly represents one of the most impressive urban achievements of the Inca Empire at its peak. Its immense walls, terraces and ramps appear to be harmoniously carved into the rocky cliffs.

We will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours with our local guide, followed by free time for you to explore this wonder of the world at your own pace.

After your visit to the Machu Picchu, you will hike back down to Aguas Calientes, a hike of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

If you prefer to go down by bus to the village instead, it is possible to buy your ticket at the site exit.

You will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, where the train company will welcome you to board a shuttle bus that will take you to Wanchaq station in Cusco.

The journey takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by train, followed by 2 hours by shuttle.

Upon arrival in Cusco, a transfer to your hotel will be arranged.

Flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado

Welcome at the bus terminal or airport, followed by a free morning to have breakfast and take a walk.

Late morning, you will board at Puerto Bolívar for a 40-minute journey on the Madre de Dios River towards our Lodge.

Upon your arrival at Lodge Corto Maltes Amazonia, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink made from seasonal fruits.

Your first contact with the jungle will be in the company of your guide, who will take you to discover tropical trees, medicinal plants and other natural wonders across the 60 hectares of the Corto Maltes Amazonía concession.

Visit to a rubber harvesting camp, one of the major economic activities in the Madre de Dios region. You will discover the traditional latex extraction process, used to manufacture various products. This hike lasts approximately 2 hours.

Before dinner, you will participate in a night boat excursion for a "Caiman Safari". With a bit of luck, you may also observe other animals living along the riverbanks.

We will start the day with a short 20-minute walk that will take us to the collpa. You will be able to observe between 3 and 5 species of parrots coming to consume a specific clay, essential for regulating their metabolism. This colorful spectacle, both wonderful and fascinating, will remain engraved in your memories.

After breakfast, boat transfer to the city of Puerto Maldonado.

One of our vehicles will be waiting for you to take you to the local market, where a short visit of 15 to 20 minutes is planned. You will have the opportunity to discover and appreciate the various local products.

Then, we will continue towards the airport to proceed with the check-in of your respective flights.
